The goal of the Oregon Labor Law Conference is to help officers and staff of unions serve their members better, be better equipped to organize the unorganized, and get training on how to avoid legal liability. Founded in 1996 by Norman Malbin, the Oregon Labor Law Conference is now also sponsored by IBEW Local 48, Oregon AFL-CIO, Center for Worker Rights, Northwest Oregon Labor Council, Labor Education and Research Center (LERC), Columbia Pacific Building Trades Council, and Oregon State Building & Construction Trades Council. Normally such conferences cost $150 to $250 per participant. We are able to charge only $90 per participant because the speakers all speak for free and Local 48 and the NECA-IBEW Electrical Training Center provide their facilities at virtually no cost. If you have any questions, please contact either Norman Malbin (telephone 503 889-3669 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) or Lillian Killen(telephone 503 889-3667 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).
